Journal Writing

In this summer, I went to the suburbs to have fun with my senior high friends.  The place we went was in Hsinchu where is famous for its Hakka culture.  The reasons why we went there because one of my friends loved the Hakka culture very much that she even worked hard to pass the Hakka test.
The first thing we did was going mountain climbing.  I think this schedule is quite cool that many young people did not like do it.  However, my friend and I enjoyed it a lot.  Although climbing it burned out our energy and sweat a lot, we felt comfortable and pleasure.  After finishing climbing it, we went to an old restaurant which built by the bricks. The Hakka dishes always taste quite sour, fat and salty. We chose five of them to eat and had a good time.  And the most delicious food I think is the ginger with the large intestine.  It’s really yummy that I can’t forget its taste until now.  We also strolled the old streets and the allies to enjoy the Hakka culture and bought some souvenirs.
By this trip, I became more familiar with the Hakka culture and had learned some information about it.  The culture is great and I think we really need to preserve it.  At last but not the least, the trip is full of joy and I hope I can go with my friends again in the future.
